ALEXSHOW
ALEXSHOW IS A MOBILE APPLICATION DESIGNED FOR A GERMAN WEDDING AND EVENT AGENCY TO MANAGE THEIR NETWORK OF FREELANCE WORKERS (HOSTS, ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, PHOTOGRAPHERS). THE APP ENABLES HOURLY WORKERS TO MANAGE THEIR AVAILABILITY, RECEIVE JOB REQUESTS FROM THE AGENCY, REVIEW AND SIGN CONTRACTS ELECTRONICALLY, TRACK COMPLETED ASSIGNMENTS, AND ACCESS PERSONAL STATISTICS — ALL WHILE BALANCING WORK ACROSS MULTIPLE EVENT AGENCIES.
THE CHALLENGE
THE PAIN
Event agencies rely on freelance workers who juggle multiple agency partnerships. The existing process was chaotic:
- Scheduling conflicts — workers couldn't easily track availability across agencies
- Paper contracts — physical signatures caused delays and administrative burden
- Communication gaps — workers missed job details, locations, and client contacts
- No performance tracking — workers couldn't see their earnings or completed events
- Manual reminders — workers forgot events or arrived late without automated notifications
THE SOLUTION
- Multi-agency workers — freelancers work with several agencies simultaneously
- Time-sensitive bookings — events require precise timing and location details
- Legal compliance — German labor laws require proper contracts and documentation
- Last-minute changes — events can be canceled or rescheduled, requiring instant updates
PROFILE & PERSONAL INFORMATION
THE PAIN
Workers need quick access to their professional profile information that agencies use for bookings.
THE SOLUTION
I designed a clean profile screen with essential contact and professional details:
- Profile photo
- Name and role
- Contact information
- Data update flow
- Log Out button
- Bottom navigation
- Design Decisions: clean, minimal layout focusing on essential information
- Professional presentation suitable for client-facing roles
- Clear call-to-action for data updates to maintain data accuracy
CALENDAR & AVAILABILITY MANAGEMENT
THE PAIN
Workers need to see their schedule at a glance and manage availability across multiple agencies.
THE SOLUTION
I designed an intuitive calendar interface with visual event indicators:
- Month view calendar
- Day summary
- Lock the day toggle
- Event card (for booked dates)
- Bottom navigation
- Design Decisions: color-coded dots for instant visual recognition of busy vs. available days
- Toggle for blocking unavailable dates gives workers control
- Event cards show critical info (location, manager contact) at a glance
- Canceled events clearly marked to avoid confusion
CONTRACT DETAILS & E-SIGNATURE
THE PAIN
Workers need to review contract details and sign electronically without printing/scanning.
THE SOLUTION
I designed a contract detail screen with clear terms and digital signature capability:
- Date header
- Location section
- Payment section
- Contract status
- Action buttons
- Design Decisions: clear visual hierarchy with icons for each section
- Large, readable payment amount
- Status clearly shows contract is pending verification
- Dual action (accept + download) provides flexibility
- Clean layout reduces anxiety around legal documents
DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT
THE PAIN
Workers need to track multiple contracts — some pending signature, some signed, some canceled.
THE SOLUTION
I designed a tabbed document interface with status-based organization:
- Tab navigation
- Contract cards (For signature tab)
- Bottom navigation
- Design Decisions: color coding — blue for active/new, pink for canceled
- Tab separation prevents confusion between pending and completed
- Status badges provide instant visual feedback
- Consistent card layout for easy scanning
PERFORMANCE STATISTICS
THE PAIN
Workers need to track their performance — how many offers received, how many accepted, total earnings.
THE SOLUTION
I designed a simple statistics dashboard showing key metrics:
- Metric cards
- Clean layout
- Color coding
- Design Decisions: large, prominent numbers for quick scanning
- Color psychology: Gold = success/money, Blue = pending action
- Simple 3-metric system avoids overwhelming workers
- Year-based tracking helps with tax planning
